As you step out today, here’s a reminder of God’s word to you from 2Timothy1:7 (NLT)
“God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline (self-control)”.
Today’s Bible verse encourages you and me as believers in Christ not to entertain fear or be cowered into being timid because His spirit within us ignites Power, Love, Self Discipline, Sound Mind, Self Control, Temperance and Good Judgement.
Apostle Paul through this Bible verse reminds believers of the GOD nature within us that we possess and in which we must be conscious of in all that we do.
Fear is one of the key arsenal/ weapons that the devil uses against a believer, again and again, to truncate and hinder the blessing that God has promised him or her!
Fear hinders Faith
Fear cripples Faith
Fear makes us Timid
Fear stops the flow of God’s blessings
Hebrews 11:6 [NIV] says “without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
But
Faith makes you bold and propels you to receive God’s blessings.
Therefore, as you go about your daily business and activities today, you can make today’s Bible verse a sticker note or a screen saver.
So that you are constantly reminded of the Spirit of God that is within you that does not permit you to be fearful or timid as you are faced with various decisions to make at work, in business, family, education, ministry etc.
Remember, don’t give fear a chance and don’t entertain fear in any way because God has put inside of you his Spirit of Love, Power, and Self-discipline!
So, cut short fear and any contrary spirit as soon as you notice it!
Declare over that project, exams, child/children, marriage God’s word and watch the peace and the blessings of the Lord overwhelm you.
Also, don’t forget that the Spirit within you oozes out Love and this compels you to show love and kindness not only to people who are kind and loving to you but also to people that may seem unkind and unlovely towards you.
